Students of Color Group
Students of Color Group
Queen Anne Elementary is continuing our Students of Color group this year! This is an optional group for student leaders of color who come together to talk about books, movies, interests, and how they can support each other and impact our school community! The group is also an intricate part of planning Culture Night and Black Lives Matter Week. This group’s impact at QAE is powerful!
This year, 4th and 5th graders meet with peers to share experiences and form friendships and connections around similar interests and passions! In the spring the Students of Color Group will join UW undergraduate students of color to provide mentorship and community engagement. This aligns with Queen Anne Elementary’s values around social-emotional learning, giving students voice and choice aligned with our school pillars.
