    Assemblies

Thursday, Nov. 10th Veterans Day Assemblies:
    • K – 2nd grade Veterans Day Assembly:  8 am
    • 3rd – 4th grade Veterans Day Assembly:  8:30 am
Our Veterans Day Assembly will be held in two parts this year to provide enough space for our veterans and parents for this very special annual assembly.  The assembly will be the same for both groups.

If you have a veteran in your family who would like to join us for both assemblies, please email Janine Roy at jbroy@seattleschools.org. We would greatly appreciate their participation in our assembly.

If your child is a scout, please email Janine as we would like them to be involved in the assemblies.

    Assembly Planning:
QAE staff are collaborating on building our students’ assembly behaviors so that our citizens of the world continue to learn how to assemble respectfully and effectively.  We will keep parents posted on assembly schedules once they are established in the coming weeks.

    Rainy Season has begun!

Thank you for ensuring your child comes to school dressed to go outside several times per day.

Feel free to pack extra socks and pants in backpacks.

If you have a spare pair of unisex pants or shorts that you would like to donate to the school, please bring them to the office.  Thank you!

    5th Grade Islandwood Trip:  Nov. 7th – 10th

Both 5th grade classes are heading off to Islandwood on Bainbridge Island next week.  Thank you to teachers Sarah Goldman and Sarah Abshire and QAE parents for making this trip possible.  We greatly appreciate the fund-raising provided by 4th grade families.  We know our 5th graders will have a fabulous learning opportunity next week!

    Veterans Day:  Friday, Nov. 11th:

    No school next Friday.

    Parent-Teacher Conferences:  Nov. 16th, 21st and 22nd

Parent-teacher conferences are essential opportunities for parents/guardians to meet with your child’s teacher to see how we can best support your child’s learning together.  Please book your time through your classroom coordinator or your child’s teacher.
